1. Payment and registration
You can pay the participation fee by bank transfer (invoice) or credit card. The price is per person and includes the following:
- lunch on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27 as well as coffee, tea and snacks on all days
- public transport in the city of Konstanz
- young scholars are invited to a reception with drinks & food on Wednesday evening, September 25 The participation at the conference dinner on Thursday evening can be booked optionally (50 €, vegetarian/vegan options).
Your registration is binding only after we have received your payment.
2. Cancellation
Cancellations are valid only if submitted in writing (email or letter). Please send your cancellation to the conference office. You will be charged the following cancellation fees:
- until August 31, 2019: 20,00 €
- from September 1, 2019: 100 % of the participation fee
If you need to cancel, please include your bank details.
3. Liability
The event organisers are not liable for damages due to force majeure or for the loss/theft of valuable items. Furthermore, the hosts and event organisers are not liable for damages associated with overnight stays and travelling. We reserve the right to change the programme and pricing.
4. Notice concerning photo and video recordings
During this conference photos, video and sound may be recorded. To protect your personal privacy rights, photos/videos produced during the conference will only be shown and published in relation to the website of the Second Conference of the Academy of Sociology and the University of Konstanz (website, press information etc.) as well as on the website of the Academy of Sociology (Akademie für Soziologie e. V.). By participating in our conference you are giving the University of Konstanz and the Academy of Sociology (Akademie für Soziologie e. V.) permission to use the photos and video recordings without limitation in terms of time and space as long as an explicit reference to the conference or the University of Konstanz is recognisable.
5. Notice concerning submitted abstracts
Accepted papers/posters (or the extended abstracts) will be published on the conference website and on the conference programme. Assuming that your abstract will be accepted, you hereby transfer the publication rights for the publication of your paper/poster (or the extended abstract) in the proceedings of this conference.
6. Data privacy statement
When you register for the conference your data will be stored on a server. This data will only be used in the context of the organization of, and your participation in, the conference. It may also be used by the conference organisers to contact you (e.g. further information or changes to the programme). Your data will not be used for any other purposes.
