Invited Speaker: Andreas Diekmann

How are trust relations in transactions and digital societies connected? Andreas Diekmann presents theoretical approaches as well as current research.

Our next invited speaker we would like to introduce is Prof. Dr. Andreas Diekmann. He is head of the Environmental Research Group in the humanities department at the ETH Zurich and professor for Social and Political Sciences at the University of Leipzig.

All commercial transactions have faced a trust problem - from ancient history to digital society now. How new technologies affect the solution to this issue will be discussed by Andreas Diekmann in his talk Trust, Trade, and Technology. Theory and Research on Trust Relations in the Digital World.

The talk will follow the opening addresses and our first two invited speakers and starts on Wednesday, September 25 at 16:00 in room A701.
